Kerala Puffs

INGREDIENTS 
Pastry Puffsheets - 2 nos Keep Separate


  1. Beef/ Chicken/ Fish (ground) - 500 gms
  2. Greenchillies - 1 nos
  3. Garlic/ Ginger Paste - 1 tsp
  4. Red onion - 1 large
  5. Garammasala - 1/2 tsp
  6. Cooking oil - 1 tsp
  7. Pepper Powder - 1 tsp
  8. Coriander leaves - 2 pinch
  9. Oregano - 1.5 tsp
  10. Salt - As reqd


DIRECTIONS


  1. Heat oil in a pan.
  2. Place the ground beef in it.
  3. Add the remaining ingredients (other than #8 & 9) along with salt and allow it to fry for 5-8 mins on a medium heat.
  4. Add the Oregano and let it cook on low fire for another 2-3 minutes
  5. When done, remove from fire and keep aside.
  6. Take puffs pastry sheets and roll them a little with the rolling pin.
  7. Cut them into four into four inches square pieces.
  8. Smear a little butter on the pastry sheet. Just a touch only.
  9. Place the stuffing on one half of the sheet and add a pinch of coriander leaf on top and fold the remaining half back.
  10. Take a little amount of water and press both the ends of stuffed puffs.
  11. Repeat the procedure for the remaining stuffing.
  12. Place in the oven at 350 degrees for 10 - 15 mins or till light brown and crispy.
The oregano is added to introduce a delicious smell into the meat.
