We are an Indian family from Kerala. We are from Pathanamthitta district.
I, Shibu Mathews, is from Kottanad, a serene place in Pathanathitta district. My place is about 8KM from Ranni or 25KM from Thiruvalla. At my parental home (Meprath family), I have my father & mother, 1 brother & 2 sisters (all elder to me). All them have married & moved off. My father worked in Malaysia & we were in our younger days in Malaysia. Currently my brother & one of my sister is settled there. I did my schooling in Infant Jesus Anglo Indian school, Thangaserri, Quilon & then moved to St. Mary's Residential School Thiruvalla. I did my college in Thiruvalla. I started working in Bombay as a account assistant & then moved to Dubai in 1997 as a assistant accountant. Currently working in a commodity trading company as Sales Manager. My family consists of my wife Shiby Susan, Son Rahul Shibu & daughter Riya Sara.
My wife, Shiby Susan Shibu is from Ranni (Mavelil-Perengattu family). Her family consists of Mother, 1 sister (Elder) & 2 brothers(younger). Her father passed away in October 3rd 1998. Her eldest sister is married & settled in Kottayam. She works as a teacher in a school. Her husband works in MRF Kottayam. They have 3 kids (did someone forget something here :)) One of her brother is a priest in the Jacobite & the other one is in USA, Houston, working as a Pharmacist. Both are married. My wife works here in Dubai as a Pharmacist. She had worked in Saudi Arabia, Oman & UAE.
My son, Rahul Shibu Mathews is on the verge of reaching his 13th Birthday. He studies in Grade 7, in DPS, Sharjah. He is a very absent minded guy :D. His favourite past time is reading books, making things as seen on children's science channel(tries to make) watching cartoon... the list goes on. He is good in studies. Just need a lot of cajoling to get things done. By night time he will make sure that both me & his mom has lost all all our patience :) He is a funny guy.
Riya Sara Shibu, my daughter, is the naughtiest of all. She knows well how to irritate someone to the maximum level possible. She knows also how to get out of troubles without getting punished too. Usually her troubles have Rahul in troubles, as she will put the blame on him :D. She studies in KG1, in School of Knowledge, Sharjah. Her best friend is Fathima. She gets well with everyone. She likes to talk(she is a girl, of course :D)
